Shennanton Sawmill is based on the estate at Shennanton, near Kirkcowan in Dumfries and Galloway.

We specialise in the creation of bespoke wood products which are crafted by hand at the sawmill by our small team of joiners, ensuring a precise and high quality finish to your order. Bring us an idea and we will do our best to create it for you!

The sawmill offers a wide range of products, from sheds to summerhouses, garages to playhouses, gates to play pieces, with friendly service and down to earth prices. Everything is made to order, so we can adapt your product to suit your needs. We take great pride in the work that we do.

We can also offer kiln dried pieces of hardwood for lintels and mantelpieces, either planed or with wonderful detail from the natural grain and form of the wood. Hardwoood logs are sold throughout the summer until stocks run out.

The majority of the timber comes from the estate's well managed woodland, meaning that your product has a very limited carbon footprint and is indeed a very local product. We replant following a 40 year Forestry Management Plan to ensure that the woodlands are available for generations to come.
